Historic Downtown Truckee CA
In Downtown Truckee approximately 1/3 of the homes were built at the turn of the century. Most of the historic buildings are concentrated along Historic Commercial Row, with some along the Truckee River. Historic Commercial Row has a certain charm that gives you that feeling of stepping back into history and strolling through a small town in the old west. There are numerous restaurants and shops in downtown Truckee in addition to a train/bus station. Zoning is mixed, providing opportunities for both residential and commercial uses. Homes in the quaint neighborhoods of Downtown Truckee are of many different home styles such as mountain, chalet, ranch, and Victorian. The downtown area is currently being beautifully renovated and restored.
