These communities are located across the Truckee River from downtown Truckee, just off of Brockway Road and Hwy 267. Many full time Truckee residents live in these communities along with some second homeowners who want to be close to downtown Truckee, the Truckee-Tahoe Airport, or the Northstar ski hill. The Ponderosa Ranchos and Martiswoods Estates neighborhoods offer one-acre lot sizes and beautiful “upscale” homes. Most sites are wooded and some have mountain views. Ponderosa Ranchos is zoned for horses. The Ponderosa Fairway Estates community is located around the Ponderosa Golf course, a 9-hole golf course.
